Christmas fun!

Here we are putting up our
Classroom's Christmas tree. We had fun decorating it.

The finished product!!

Like snowflakes we are all unique. We made some lovely snowflakes to display in our classroom.

For Christmas we decided to make some lovely pots for presents.

We put a coat of red paint onto the pot first as the base coat.

Next we used stencils to decorate our pots. We picked from a selection of stars, snowmen, Christmas trees and Christmas stockings. We each picked a colour to paint our stencils.

We got lots of lovely leaves and plants from Grainne. We put a selection in the oasis into our pots. Have a look through our photos of our class hard at work. They turned out brilliantly. They look very pretty!!

We made some lovely Christmas wreaths for decorating our class for Christmas. First we painted paper plates green. Next we traced our hands onto red card and cut them out to make the branches. Our class concentrated really hard to make their wreath.

We made some Santa Christmas stockings out of cardboard. First we painted the cardboard white. Then we stuck on the cotton wool. Next we made him a lovely red hat and stuck some stickers on it. These look lovely hanging up in our classroom.

We were very lucky and Santa came to visit us in our classroom. He gave us a chocolate treat and said if we are very good he will bring us a present next week.

Science Experiments

Today we continued our experiments with water. We added green food colouring to some water. We popped in a lovely white flower into the container and we hope to have some interesting results for you soon!!!

We had fun experimenting with water today. We explored wither various materials can soak up water. We had lots of fun predicting, observing, investigating and recording our results.

We experimented with mixing various substances with water. We tried to mix sugar, oil, jelly and sand with the water. Here are some photos of us doing the experiment.
