Harvest fair

We took part in our conker competition too. We had done lots of practice before hand. 

We were very lucky with the weather today. We had a lovely day at our harvest festival. 

We are getting organised for our Harvest Fair on Friday. 

Here we are practicing our dancing for our fair. We had lots of fun running through our dance. 

We had lots of fun painting a scarecrow today. We all took a part of the picture and it was done it no time!

Post time!

We are lucky that there is a post box at the top of the road where our school is. 

We went for a walk this bright, chilly morning and got to post a letter in the green post box. 

We are learning all about how to address an envelope and what we might post to our friends. 

Visitors to Kilcoskan

Today two people from our Irish Army came to school today. 

One of the mam's made some lovely cupcakes to add to the celebrations. Aren't they tasty looking?

Every school in Ireland is getting a visit from some soilders from the Army. 

This Friday during harvest fair we are getting our visitors. 

We are practicing very hard at our national anthem. Here we are doing a practice run here this afternoon. 

To help prepare are making some Irish flags to celebrate their visit!

Fun with shapes!

More fun with shapes today. We used different shapes to make the face of a scarecrow. 

We experimented with making shapes in flour today. 

We all got a bit "dusty" but sure that is part of the fun!

Autumn Art

We experimented with autumn colours here in our class. 

Next we cut out a tree shadow outline.  

Assembly Time

At our last assembly of 2015 we were learning about how toady was the shortest day of the year. We had a bit of fun exploring how the earth revolves around the sun. 

On Friday we have assembly. We get to hear all about the work the other classes are doing and we get to share what we have been up too.
